Wood Studio

Donate to the Woodworking Studio

The next phase of growth for CCSA has arrived: building a woodworking studio so we can offer classes in furniture-making, instrument-building, and general woodworking, as well as space for woodworkers to make their hand-crafted items.

The total cost for CCSA's project is expected to be about $1.1 million, including construction, equipment, and staff for the new studio. We have received an ARC grant for $500,000, along with $75,000 raised in matching funds from local donors, which will go towards the existing structure at the studio site on Oldtown Street and constructing the new building.  This grant is contingent upon raising additional funds through grants and donations to outfit the studio with woodworking equipment and to help launch and sustain the studio. Local support is needed to match a portion of each of these grants, so we are asking for donations to help us.

Please use the form below to donate now via PayPal. If you prefer not to use the form, or wish to donate more than $250, please contact us to arrange other payment methods. You may use the Contact Us form or call Chris Pollins-Shackelford at (276) 236-3500.

Thank you for helping us to make the dream into a reality!
