Cost: 116.00 (includes clay, glaze and firing)

Students will learn to create cylinders that they will trim and add handles to, to create mugs. Students will need prior instruction on wheel throwing. Class instruction will include handle pulling and vessel trimming. Tips on consist ant throwing techniques will be given though out class. The goal of this class is for students to walk away with four useable mugs. Recommended classes for extended learning: Tall Vessels (Sept. 23rd) and Lidded Containers (Oct. 21st and 28th).

Wear close toed shoes and long hair must be tied back.

Join us the second Monday of the month in June, July, August and September on the Breezeway at the Blue Ridge Music Center, milepost 214 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, for an Introduction to Flatfooting. We'll start at 11:30 learning a few steps before the start of the Mountain Midday Music. At noon the Buck Mountain Band will begin kicking up their tunes so you can practice what you've been learning. Marianne will stick around until 12:30 to teach a couple more steps, call a square dance, or just have fun dancing with you to this fabulous old-time band.

No preregistration is needed.
